The authors of the New York Times–bestselling Sh*tty Mom: The Parenting Guide for the Rest of Us are back with advice for getting through the year – their way!
Emmy Award–winning TODAY show producers, the brains behind @TodaysMoms, and self-proclaimed sh*tty moms Alicia Ybarbo and Mary Ann Zoellner, together with humorist Erin Clune, bring you the perfect book to tackle the occasions that test every mother’s patience and inspire a second glass of wine with Sh*tty Mom for All Seasons.
How do we here at Mommybites know you will love this book? Well – we’ve known two of the awesome co-writers (Alicia and Mary Ann) for almost a decade now. We know first-hand how relatable, fun, funny, smart and down-to-earth these women are, and these characteristics most definitely shine through in their writing!
In fact, here’s a little sneak peak at their non-advice advice from the Sh*tty Moms:
- Reminder! An effective way to get rid of those old toys your kids are sentimentally attached to is to “disappear” them behind furniture. By the time you pull out the dresser to vacuum behind it next spring, the kids won’t care about the stuff anymore. Suck it, toys.
- Reminder! The main goal of parenthood is staying afloat. After that, the main goal is getting the kids on their own damn boat. Bon voyage!
- Reminder! Kids and grandparents are natural allies because they both have to put up with your bitching. Try to foster a close relationship between them so you can spend a few extra days away, bitching to your girlfriends.
- Reminder! Making cold lunch at night is a great way to save time in the morning. But the best way to save time at night is to “forget” to make it, shrug your shoulders, and give them two bucks for hot lunch.
